A home in New Britain was due for a new roof since the home had the same roof from when the home was built in 1978.
This Tariffville home had some leaking in an upstairs bedroom along with black algae stains, which can be a common symptom of malfunctioning asphalt shingles. Beneath the top layer is a ProArmor Synthetic underlayment. This durable, tear-resistant material is engineered to repel water and to adhere to the roofing surface.
At this 1960's ranch home located in Berlin, CT we completely replaced the existing old roof. To ensure proper ventilation we installed 2 new vent pipe boots and a new bathroom exhaust vent hood with a built-in damper on the roof above the left side of the bathroom. This home also needed a new VentSure Ridge Vent to give ventilation to the attic.
Both the roof on the house and front face of the garage on this home located in Kensington, CT needed replacement. We first installed 15 brand new boards of plywood decking to maintain the structural integrity of the roof. Then, we laid down Ice & Water Shield and Synthetic Underlayment to provide a durable, tear-resistant layer to repel water and moisture from the interior of the home. To top it off we removed and replaced the old chimney flashing with new lead flashing.
A home in Berlin, CT with a roof over 20 years in age was due for a replacement.
