Three rows of Ice & Water Sheild was installed, along with a Synthetic Underlayment that is engineered to repel water. The old chimney flashing was replaced with new, lead flashing. The existing vent pipe boot was replaced with a black, Perma-Boot. Architectural-style asphalt shingles  in the color of Driftwood, were used which have a 10 year algae-resistance warranty and a 130 MPH wind resistance warranty.
